Job Description

Consult with clients and their families to help determine eligibility for public benefit programs such as Medicaid, New Choices Waiver, V.A. Pension and Medicare. Educate clients and their families on public benefit program availability and coverage. Review client assets and income in order to determine which programs are most appropriate to their situation. Develop a financial plan to obtain eligibility for public benefit programs. Present the plan to the family and execute it.

Job Responsibilities

·       Learn the purpose, regulations and eligibility requirements of several public benefit programs

·       Gain a mastery of financial planning strategies that pertain to public benefit program eligibility

·       Educate clients and/or their families about public benefit programs and planning options

·       Review asset and income information to determine eligibility for public benefit programs

·       Generate a plan to arrange client assets to ensure eligibility for the public benefit programs

·       Assist clients and/or their families in gathering documents required for program applications

·       Assemble a case file complete with required financial documents and a well-documented accounting of the financial planning           executed to obtain eligibility

·       Work with Utah Senior Planning case managers to provide additional information

·       Build and maintain professional relationships with key skilled nursing facility staff members

·       Screen and analyze any potential financial risk of patients admitting to nursing facilities

·       Advise nursing facilities on accepting or denying potential patient admissions

·       Report to nursing facility administration on the status of all active cases at each facility

·       Report weekly sales numbers to sales manager

Required Skills / Qualifications

·       B.A. / B.S. or higher

·       Experience working directly with customers

·       Experience with Microsoft Excel

·       Able to work 4 to 5 days per week in Utah County and meet at company headquarters in Kaysville at least once weekly

·       Must have your own vehicle
